Title: Please excuse my ignorance: Aqua Magic V toilet question
Post by: Mex-Busnut on August 30, 2012, 10:22:57 PM
Dear friends:

We had to suspend our conversion for about two months, but we are at it again!

My plumber guy and I have what might be a really dumb question. The throne is an Aqua Magic V, with floor pedal. (See here: http://www.thetford.com/Home/Products/PermanentToiletsHome/AquaMagicVFootPedalFlush/tabid/106/Default.aspx (http://www.thetford.com/Home/Products/PermanentToiletsHome/AquaMagicVFootPedalFlush/tabid/106/Default.aspx) )

Is it normal for "the stuff" to have a free fall of 8 inches between the toilet bowl's valve and the floor opening? We cannot see anything in there, and the manual shows nothing. We can see that the "walls" of the base form a slight swirl, to probably aid in the exit of the afore-mentioned "the stuff", but the rear of the unit has some places where it looks like "the stuff" might collect or get stuck.

Thanks in advance for your input!

That's exactly how they work, nothing wrong with your toilet they are quite a bit different than a residential toilet.
