If you would like to see bk again or meet him for the first time you could come to his place the 24-26 of this month. Is any body going.
Thanks
Don
What is the location? Just west of Nashville Tennessee?? off Interstate 40.? I have no bus ready can I still come? Bob PS tree for Uncle Ned?
Don,
So it's already you, BK, and Bob G.? I would find it a bit daunting to be around so many professionals. It's also a little beyond the length of my leash.
Bob, everyone is welcome, I think BK planted a tree for uncle Ned, I saw it last year when I was there.
Lin, I bet if you talked real nice to momma she would let you come out and play.
Bk is in huntingdon Tn. Come one come all. I think we may move over to the stock yard that way we will have plenty of beef on the hoof.
Don
Bob G. is questionalbe---Still recovering from back surgery. Will try to come down one day. Last car trip did not go so well. That was 6 weeks ago-so might be time to try again. I had planned to help but all plans get changed by health. Last time was allot of good food and tall tales great people and buses . Bob
Don, talking to momma is just the small part of the issue. Right now, it is Chevron, Shell, etc. that determine the length of the leash.
You won't find a more down to earth group to spend time with. They are patient, understanding and just plain fun. They put up with me a few years back at a previous rally at BK's and only muttered under their breath a few times a day under my barrage of incessant newbie questions.
If the pocket book and time will allow it, go. You will meet great people and have a chance to talk to some folks with an impressive amount of fabrication, repair and general bus knowledge.
In good conscience I do have to warn you about two things. First Don's truck is a bus magnet, stay well clear of it. Second, if Ned does bring some spring water, sip lightly. It will make you feel like kicking your heels up with the resulting video embarrassment . :D
Sadly the wife and I will not be able to attend but we will be there in spirit.
Frank
After a week at BK's, come a little east and spend some quality time at one of the most scenic campgrounds in the US. And you would get to meet us besides. For those of you over 62, it's only $12 a nite for a fantastic site by the water. Mr. Throneberry and Gloria are here now and will attest to the benefits.
Since you're all gettin together before I can be there, you could at least stop by and see us. Pleeze! The kids went back to school around here, and it's boring with an empty campground. I may have to start on a few bus projects, just for some exercise. ;D
For Those who don't know Don is Mr. two stroke. BK has kept a fleet of them running in buses for years and now also has 4 strokes. Both know where good food is and would give you the shirt off their back. A good experience for a New or wan-a bee busnut. Won't be a large crowd. 25 to 30 last time I think but all loaded up on bus and went to catch rolls for dinner. Bob
I was the the very first get together at BK's. It was pretty small in part due to the weather. I showed up early and had BK do a bearing replacement on my steering and Ross was there so he helped BK a little bit. I can't recall if Captain Ron was there or not.
I had planned to attend this year, but I used up all my extra time off with some health issues.
One week till we leave for the great rally at BK's. It will take me a least 3 days to get there.
Huggy does not like the inter state highways or maybe it is me. The fuel mileage goes from about 8 to about 3. Huggy just does not like to see those big fancy buses in front.
We will make it to the Cumberland mountain campground Vir. the first night then to Lillydale to see White eagle. Might have to spend 2 days with him to rest up after the long drive.
looking forward to seeing all. Frank you will be missed. Has any one tried to sell your bus for you lately. Or robbed parts off.
I have a tree in a pot so I will have shade. Will miss the big oak.
uncle Ned
I am leaving for the Bk get together in about two hours. Ned, you think if you brought the e line with that big Honda in the back we could get Capt. Ron to come back for a another ride on the back of it. LOL
see y'all soon if I don't brake down on the way.
Don
