What is the system for the lights on this bus. Is it 24 volt for clearance lights. I pulled bulb, had one out on rear top and it was a push in bulb. Have 12 volt here but checking to make sure it's not 24 volt.
thanks,
glen
Called Prevost Parts (Ft Worth) just then. Gave him last 4 of vin number and he said he "thinks" it's 12 volt. I said you "think"
;D
Why not remove a bulb and measure the voltage with a voltmeter?
Now that would make sense and I'm not one to do that. Put 12 volt in and worked. Will go and get inspected this afternoon. Noticed a couple lenses were cracked on some of the clearance lights. Are these prevost parts are can you get these after market?
All my lights are 12v with the exception of the dash lights they are 24v

Clearance lights are available thru NAPA, same as "old style" school buses. If you can see the inside wires, red is 24v, yellow should be 12v. If you stick a 12v bulb in a 24 v socket, it will last for "awhile". ;D Testing with a meter is the best way to sleep good at night. Gerry H
Thanks all for the info. Stuck 12 volt bulb in and got it inspected for another year. $14.50. Went down the road at a truckstop and fueled at Flatonia Tx. for next trip (next weekend) 468.75. Diesel is going up on speculation the sun might come up tomorrow! Dam Wall Street Traders!
The Iranian store owner said in broken english that it would be lot higher if we take Iran out. I ruint his day and said for that, I would pay for with a SMILE!
