Kent - I'll go ahead and re-post the link that I put on the BNO board - I hope they work else I'll have made the same mistake twice.

Full disclosure:  Kent and I are good friends and I have visited his place several times.  Most recently, a couple of weeks ago when I got to celebrate my 70th birthday with him. :o

That said, this might be a real sleeper bus for someone.

Kent is a superb mechanic and the engine installation is very well done.  He has done a lot of mechanical work on the bus and my guess is that it is in top shape.  As you will see in the Ebay ad, all of the fundamental equipment is in place.  It would be a great bus for someone wanting to hit the road right away, or wanting a great bus for pennies on the dollar where you can slowly remodel the interior to your desire.

One of the problems with four stroke engine conversions is that they are not always geared optimally.  Kent used the very robust HT740 and hooked it to a truck rear end that has a 2.64 gear ratio.  That is almost perfect for this application.

BTW, lest you think Kent is giving up the madness, he has a 57 Crown with a rear Cummins L10.  You would not believe the work he has done on that bus!!!!  I think he said that he started working on it in '89.  Think about that - no BCM or BNO to exchange ideas  :o ::) ;D

Kent, I'm very sorry to hear that physical or medical problems have had an impact on your bus ownership or enjoyment.  Best wishes to you and I hope that whatever you need to make life better goes well for you.
