Is wireless the way to go? can anyone recoomend a system that uses a flat panel monitor and multiple cameras or whats the popular system everyone has?

Hi Christopher, I tried 3 different rf cams from the rear of my MCI5A, stainless steel body did them all in, at best got intermittent signal, the other 2 got mostly breakup or fuzzy noisey picture, when I put a camera on coax from the backup camera, picture was stable and clear, I then used the wireless as a passenger side mirror mounted view only having to bring 12V to the camera and have very good rear and side coverage, motorcycles and pedistrians are seen along with mirrors,biggest problem is where to put monitors, lvmci
I tried the wireless system very poor quality had alot of interference issues, I bought a flatscreen monitor off of ebay that has 4 camera inputs it can either be used as a split screen or widesreen, with a remote, I really like it every thing is hard wired, the only problem was routing the cable under the bus but well worth it now. I bought the cameras, monitor and 50 ft cables off of ebay pretty cheap, good luck, John.

My wireless system worked well but only because the camera was inside at the rear window.
I doubt it would have worked outside.
It was also too small for road use but was great backing.
My new wired one has a 7" monitor and is great on the road, I keep it on all the time underway.
Desi. I dont have an item no. but the brand name is power acoustic, I looked on line didnt see the same one as mine but there are several to choose from. John.
I hard wired mine, a little extra time but excellent picture quality. I can monitor my tow car and also see the blind spot behind me.
I mounted my wireless camera inside the rear window in a 4106 & it works fine. $250 on Ebay. free shipping from America
Hard wire is the way to go. A bit of work initially, but once done, can change or upgrade easily since most use the same cable. Take a look at Northern Tool-I bought mine there with green tone screen that was commercially rated with one camera for less then $200.00. Still works well now. Good Luck, TomC
