Are y'all ready for a Fall Get Together for Bus Nuts!?
We decided to move the date up a couple weeks, in hopes that it will work out better for more bus friends! We also had to change the gathering place, the campground in Moose Lake got flooded and is closed for the rest of the season at least while doing repairs. The water was so deep that only 2-3 feet of the tops of campers were sticking out of water, very sad for those folks...
We're excited to see all of you on the weekend of September 14-16, at Timberline RV Resort, in Sturgeon Lake MN, which is 100 miles north of Twin Cities, 60 miles south of Duluth, just a few miles from where we've been the last few years. We saw it when we were out looking for a place recently, it's a nice place. They have paddle boat for rent, tubing, horseshoes, volleyball, basketball courts, playground, game room, snack bar, clean bathrooms, 3 hole Chip/Putt Golf, hiking paths.
The off peak camping rate for that weekend is $28.00 a night, includes water and electric. Call and reserve your site, they will need your credit card to hold your site. Our bus group will be using sites #111-127, and those sites are pull- thru. Wouldn't it be great if we had to worry about adding more sites!?! Their phone number is (218) 372-3272. As far as meals go... let's keep it simple, plan on each pretty much doing our own meals except for potluck meals for dinner on Saturday, about 6:00. Bring your own meat and a dish to share, and breakfast/ brunch on Sunday morning - about 900. Sound good? A few of us could each make a breakfast casserole? I'll make one, who else can? Then we'll need all the "fillers" juices, fruit, bagels, muffins, toast, etc. How does that sound? Let us know what you think...
We, (and Tubby, too) are looking forward to seeing everyone, and hope this weekend will work out better with your schedules. We will miss our friend "MeToo" he is still at the bus hospital, but will be as good as new when discharged!!! and its a good thing they have a backup camper!!

This is the weekend before I leave on Tuesday for my yearly trip to Reno, but I will see if I can make it.
Would it be possible for me to make arrangements to bring my bus only for the day on Saturday? I suppose I can reserve a spot for Saturday night only.
It would be great to have you there, even if only for the day or overnight. good luck with plans, hope you can make it.
Sounds like fun and a great venue. We have lots of bus use planned starting 8/24 and going through 9/22; so I'll have to think about the feasibility of being gone every weekend starting with August 24!.

We'll check the calendars when we get back and try to make this work. Hope we can. Have not even flushed the water system since winter so it would be good to get the bus out and on the road again.

Its only a month from today, we will be sitting around the campfire...the leaves are already turning here in Duluth, so they should be really nice in a month...

How's Me Too doing? Is he in recovery yet or still in intensive care?

The office at the campground got a little mixed up...so when you call to make your reservation, mention that you are with the Skarman bus group- otherwise they will charge the regular $38 a night rate...
