A member of the board has graciously offered to give me his toasted belt drive 50DN alternator. It has a good stator housing on it I need to repair mine. However, I really want to avoid paying to ship 110 lbs! Is anyone coming from the Lansing area west ward into western WI or through MN? If you are, would you be willing to transport this alternator for me? If you are coming through MN on your way west I'd be happy to host you for your stop. We have 30 amp power to keep an air conditioner running as well. You would also have all the peace and quiet you could desire in my oasis amongst the corn and soybean fields.

Someone in CCO or GLCC attending the "Back to the Bricks" Rally in Clio MI might be heading back closer that way?
Rally is shortly upon us in mid August.
The rally is listed as a topic on the BBS, grab the organizers, maybe you can start a relay?
A bit of fuel money for any out of the way driving is always welcome!

Brian, I will be in MI in Sept. If you don't find any body to pick it up for you I will get it and carry it over to MIN for you on my way over to ND. Give me the address at both ends so I can look it up on the map.

I have the alternator in Lansing, just off of i-96. Is there someone you are meeting with that will be attending the Back to the Bricks Rally that I could pass it to? Or, are you just breezing through? Sure would look forward to meeting the Guru of Detroit Gurus!

Wish we could help. We're headed from Milwaukee to St. Joseph, MI Friday and coming back to Milwaukee same day...close...but not quite.
