Wow, that bus looks unique. I bet it would have been a blast to drive. Looks like it backed up with ease. Do we know what happened with this unusual coach? Private owner or scrapped?

Very classy! I guess 1st class was on the upper deck lol. Seems with all the airline hassels these days buses like the GX-1 could make a comeback assuming they are as nice looking as that old girl.

Here are a couple of writeups. I'm going to guess at Joe's question that the twin engines were 4-71s hydraulically coupled as the PD4501s first had.
Jon - articles note it was likely scrapped in the late '50s.

Thamk You for posting that. Very interesting bus and it's too bad it never caught on. But the market is what it is. Perhaps it just wasn't time yet since the VAN-HOOL TD-925 is quite popular now. Just imagine the conversion possibilities with 2 decks. Watching that though it shows how spoiled we have become now with digital video cameras. Back then that was state of the art with color so some appreciation is lost I think.
