Title: What methods do you guys use to trace walls/ceilings?
Post by: belfert on July 24, 2012, 07:45:07 PM
The outside walls and the ceilings in my bus are not straight.  What methods do you guys use to trace these outlines onto a sheet of cardboard or something to make a template?  I can't recall how I did it in the past.

I use a 12 inch metal fab contour gage that I have had for years but I transfer to the wood not cardboard works for me

Working with cardboard first to make a template out of 1/8" plywood.  Good Luck, TomC

I realized I have a piece of plywood that is already cut perfectly for the wall contour.  I can use that as a pattern so that will help.

Thomas, I looked at your method and it produces nice results, but it seems like a lot of work.  Thank you for your replies.
