When we lived in Miami there was a huge airplane salvage yard right next to the Miami International Airport. I would think that there would be a salvage yard near any major airport in the country, especially the hubs. I have also looked at those trays and the ones in first class would work. I think you would need the entire armrest to get all of the mechanism that makes it work. Then the mechanism could be covered with upholstery and would "go away" when not in use.

Let us know how your project goes along.

Dave

They also use similar trays/tables in theater type seating for college classrooms.

Great idea. Got me thinking that would be great for my work truck.  Can write on it or hold a laptop.   keep us posted.  Hey you may just become a 'distributor'. :)
