The seal can be installed without removing the pump to replace a worn shaft you remove the pump not a hard job if you follow the BOOK

About a all  day job to remove the pump and do a complete reebuild which I would do if you plan to be with the bus for the long run then you can replace the short hoses that go bad and leave you on the side of the road lol

A reulid kit will cost you 125.00 + depending where you buy fwiw

good luck

rebuild kit at mohawk $89

I bought all the parts ala cart when I did mine because they were out of stock on the kit. I ended up getting all the pieces you would get in a kit, plus a new shaft and bearings for around $60. Go figure, the kit costs more than buying the individual parts.

Clifford, I got decent parts ala cart, but I would imagine the kit is a different source like you say. Just gotta be careful what you get I suppose. Where you at these days? still working on your son's hummer?
