Title: Need a place in SoCal to park for a few days....
Post by: ccbmster on July 18, 2012, 10:23:37 PM
Hi,,

I have to leave town for about five days and need a place to park my bus conversion, oh and my wife, while I am gone  :)

We full time in it when it SoCal but she doesnt drive it. In the past I have just parked it in an RV park and she stayed in it while I have been gone but this time it seems none of the parks have an open spot for a 40' coach.  Electric hook up would be real nice.

If anyone in the Glendora, San Dimas, Rancho Cucamonga, Azusa, Orange County, or anyplace else in that general area can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Ccbmster, my 2 favorites in socal are, valencia travel village up I5 near magic mountain, and east shore san demas near the pomona fair up the hill at bonnelli park off I10, just before palmdale lancaster in acton is a koa hidden in the canyon, no cell service tho, and in lancaster is the fairgrounds rv park for $25, just measure the electricity at the pole befoe plugging in, lvmci...

Not sure if this helps since maybe you already checked:

Fairplex in Pomona (they are having an RV show right now)
East Shore RV park in San Dimas
Mt Baldy has an RV park but it might be a pain to drive up to.
Camp Williams in Azusa (up the canyon a bit)
San Bernadino RV park (I think it is now Terrace Village)

If it is not too far, check Rancho Jurupa Park in Riverside (nice area) and
Glen Ivy Recreational Vehicle Park and Prado Regional Park in Corona/Chino
Canyon RV park in Anaheim ain't too bad either.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Bolsa Chica, East Shore and Prado are the three we usually use in these situations but none has room for a 40' rig for all of the days I will be gone. Tried the ones in Orange County and no luck there as well.  Castaic and Lancaster are too far out of the way for my ride to the airport to go pick me up before going there.

there are several state beaches with camp grounds along the socal area. I would put her in one of them. hey,you might even get lucky when you get back.  LOL
