I just got back from a trip to Montana. I have been following post about re-power. I have to say I was a little frustrated with my power while bucking head wind and my foot on the floor and only being able to get 60 MPH in rolling hills.
This weekend I pulled out the book and read about adjusting the foot feet (accelerator pedal). The book for my MC-9 states the distance from the floor to the top of the back lip of the pedal should be 8 1/8". Mine was at 7 3/4". I made the adjustments to the bellcrank and the took it for a test drive. I know the bus may never be a power house but think I have more opportunity to apply fuel before hitting the governor than I had before. I can make lots of black smoke if I want LOL. Not sure if this will help others but think it will help me when needed.

John, I see that all the time people losing power because the throttle is not opening all the way or the shut off cylinder against the lever
We will be coming through your area in a couple of weeks with others maybe if you have time we could visit for a few minutes if your work schedule will allow it
We will have the CB on I miss talking to ladies there the wife doesn't care for it much but she laughs sometimes as that is about the only place on the trip I turn it on lol

Going to check this on my coach too. Still needing to replace my fuel just before the fuel filters. Going to see if that helps

The second step in that adjustment is to use a stick to press the throttle pedal all the way down, then go to the governor and check that the speed control lever is indeed fully open, with nothing impeding it's movement, and that it's not locked hard against it's stop putting undue stress on things. The cable length is adjustable at the governor end to make that adjustment.
