Title: annual beech bend trip
Post by: garhawk on June 29, 2012, 08:00:34 AM
Hey folks,

We just returned from our annual trip to Beech Bend Amusement Park and the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY with our two grandsons and a friend each - ages 12, 12, 13 & 14.

All had a great time, including the grandparents.  However, after having served as driver, cook and referee for four days, grandpa has cancelled all physical activity until further notice.

The bus did as was told and, it was a pleasure to travel with our choice of good cold air: OTR or generator fed rooftops.  We used one method each way and really couldn't tell any difference.

Here's a trick question for you bus nuts.  For over 20,000 miles and a year and one half now, we have hauled around a new house water pump simply because we had one.  It is not very heavy, didn't take much room and, you never know when the current one will fail.  Since the boys wanted to take their bicycles, we unloaded all unnecessary items in search of room for the toys.

What item do you pick to have pitched a fit and died on the first day at the park?

Sounds like a great trip (except for the pump sitting in the garage at home)!  Say hey to everybody out there from me.  Are you going to be home this weekend?  I'll give you a call.   BH
