We installed a Ramsond 37Gw2 minisplit 120v model two years ago on our bus. Last year it lost its charge and a local ac repair man said it needed a new compressor, which we did not go for. Just last month an honest repairman that knew his stuff looked at it and found a cracked copper line. It was a vertical line with a valve connected to the top of it. Because the valve was unsupported the vibration wiggled it around and cracked the line. He welded the line, supported the valve and charged it up. So far it's been running fine all month. So if you get one of these, take the cover off the exterior unit and see if there are any vibration prone parts. These are not made with road bumps in mind.
Very good point! I try pass on the advice I got from my hvac friends to make sure all lines and hardware are secure and protected from rubbing also. Bob
