Title: MCI 5C
Post by: Tenor on June 25, 2012, 07:06:23 PM
This is one of the neatest MCI 5C's I've seen.  Beautiful execution and polish!  I have no connection with this bus, just wanted to share some cool pics!

That is totally gorgeous! If the mechanicals are as good as upstairs looks, it is the best MC5 I have seen.  Anyone looking for a bus should look at it.

And it even has a Louis Vuitton gear lever condom-gaiter-thingy.

Is he correct that it weighs only 15,000 lb?

It is a 5A not a C,  15,000 lbs seems awfully light to me too, i would think more like 25,000.  And the vin should be only 4 digits......although maybe the state that it was titled in after the conversion was done  issued a new, longer vin.

15k lbs may be the shell weight.  My MCI 7 when empty was only 22k and change.  Lopping off 5 feet might be that difference.  It sure would weigh more now.

It might weigh 15K with no drivetrain...  Even 25K would be very light for that bus.  I'm not sure all the metallic finish inside is my taste, but it's pretty.

It looks like a nice piece of work depending on the reserve.  I do not believe the 15000 pound thing and have serious doubts about 12 mpg though.  Those two statements could cast a shadow on other claims also.

Fine craftsmanship on the wood & metal work !!

I agree with Bevans, not quite my taste, but I appreciate the work.

Few side windows will detract from openness and light into the coach.
No roof raise will play havoc with me 6'5"
I do not agree with the weight statement.

Nice ride with a 871, surprised that no pics of engine, I can do without the std shift.

Will be interesting what this will fetch.

That bus looked a lot better the last time I saw it with the original top cap and not the ugly @$# R&M front cap those destroy IMO the looks of the early 5's YMMD and it will weigh more than 15,000 mine was a little over 24k

good luck
