We have a Wineguard Motion we installed last year and when it works it's wonderful. A lot of times ours will keep hunting or the motor sound will keep running on top of coach and drive you crazy. Haven't had time to run it back in and check.

Hi Fredcliff,

I've heard as many stories of lies, tricks and fees perpetrated by these thieves as there are TV sets and, can speak personally as to the lack of integrity within the company of Direct TV.

After listening to one con job after another from these slicksters, I asked, as have you, for advice from experienced members of these bus boards.  Here's what I did based on their good words.

(a)  Leased an additional receiver box (already had three at residence) from Direct TV for the bus - $6 per month.  We also have a King Dome satelite receiver although, not an in motion.  As you know, after leaving your local network station's satelite broadcast area, you can no longer receive their signal through your satelite receiver, so

(b)  we bought a Wineguard bat wing 'over the air', power raise/stow  antenna.  Cost us $250 delivered, took three hours to install and, works exactly as everyone said.  We just returned from a 25 day trip from Tennessee to Yellowstone Park and return.  At EVERY stop, we had several local network stations in addition to all the cable channels carried by Direct TV.

I run Tracstar with Direct Tv.  I tried it with Dish and it is a no go.  I went through a long long long ordeal trying to get Dish to work with that system and failed.  One shot with Direct and I never looked back.  I have zero troubles unless I go under a bridge or park in front of a large tree.

I don't know what King Dome you have, but mine works great on Dish.  Did you talk to King Dome?

Yes I talked to King Dome and they requested I call Direct TV back to install and when the in taller gets here to call King Dome and they will walk them through it.  I thought there was something up when the installer called his supervisor and told him it was a bus the supervisor told " stay away from it if its a bus"  so I may go back to Dish

I know with my tracvision I have to be sure my DTV receiver must be set to multiswitch not SWM (single wire multi switch).  This is done on the setup menu.
