What type anti-freeze should be used????

A 50/50 mix if regular full strength of 'green' anti-freeze with DISTILLED WATER is the best combination for your generator or engine.  I have tested the off the shelf pre-mix and found it is NOT 50/50-- it is more like 30% anti-freeze and 70% water of unknown quality.

I agree with Geoff. In addition be sure all the air is out of the thermostat housing. There should be a bleeder on top of the housing and if the radiator fill is higher than the top of the thermostat housing it should bleed easily. If not you may have to use a pressure container with antifreeze in it to get it bled.

Why distilled water Kubota says clean water no mention of distilled water I use RO water

most small radiator rebuilders that i have dealt with say that the tubes in that size radiator plug up from mid-western/hard/ mineralized water...the distilled is cheap.
A huge radiator tube not so bad.

yep i have always used distilled also. was told way back same thing. They take a lot longer to plug up if ever.
