Title: Red eagle on I 80 westbound Ohio turnpike?
Post by: Eric on April 29, 2012, 01:45:49 PM
Working on our bus and our property butts up to the interstate about 15 acres back watch a purtty eagle go cruising by.... Anybody from here? Looked like an 01 but I'm no pro at eagles lol

Hi Eric -
You can always tell '01s because their tag axle is behind the drive axle.  All the rest have the tag forward of the drive axle (except for the "S"s which only have a drive axle and no tag).  Some early '05s look like '01s cosmetically, but the placement of the tag will set them apart.

Actually the one in front of the drive is called a "Bogie" axle because it no longer "tags" along behind.
Just thought you'd like to know eagleish when speaking with other eaglets.

Now I'm confused (see! didn't take long ;D), so is it a bogie drive then?  ;D ;D
