Title: Need help with Series 60 installation
Post by: benneu on April 27, 2012, 10:21:10 AM
Helping a friend in Yuma, AZ installing and wiring a 1994 S-60 DDEC 3 into his 01 Eagle Bus  Having trouble finding the old style check engine and stop engine lights.  The lights I am looking for are two single recessed lights having the word check engine light and stop engine light written on the lenses.  The Detroit book says, they should be five watts.  Detroit Diesel itself does not carry these lights because they are furnished by the truck manufacture.  Talking to the parts guys at Freightliner and Peterbilt, no one understands you unless you have a part or Vin #.  Looked at wrecking yards in Phoenix, AZ, they have trucks from the year 2000 and newer with totally integrated dashes.  If anyone knows where I can find these lights, it would be very much appreciated.
Ben

Ben and George,
I used the K-4 indicator lamps for everything in the Eagle and Silverside.  They have nice check engine, stop engine, check trans. lamps.  www.k-four.net (http://www.k-four.net)

The 500 series are the ones I used.  They are nice and bright.

Hope this helps
