OK this thrown out there way back when that we were gonna have another busnut gathering.
Well "The Don" & I have been trying to decide the best dates.
He is coming from CA. So we kinda set the dates according to when he can make it.
We are leaning heavily towards Aug. 24,25,26.
But if it were more convienent for more people to do it Labor day weekend Aug 31, Sept. 1, & 2.
So pipe up an let us know what ya think.
bk cant say for sure but if we can come both dates would be ok john / lidia
John that would be great!
Of course anyone wanting to show up early or stay late is welcome too!
With the charter bus biz there is less chance of buses coming and going in the middle of the night during the Aug. 24-27th weekend, but anything is possible.
I know for a fact that several will be coming & going on labor day weekend.
;D BK ;D
Hi BK,
Both dates look good for Gloria and me. Just keep us up to date.
I personally lean to the Aug 24-27 dates because our business is always dead in Aug.
And I already have trips booked on labor day weekend.
But we are flexible and will adjust according to a majority vote!
Hint, hint, wink, wink !
Folks I need your input here!
;D BK ;D
BK,
I think the 24- 27 dates would be better for me.
Thanks,
Ken
Just a bump. Nailed down a date yet? Uncle Ned may have to take a northern route to keep Huggy cool.
Ken
Well Ken nobody but you an I have spoken up on the dates an that makes us a majority then right?
;D BK ;D
Sounds good to me!!
Ken
If I managed to make it down I would rather do labor day weekend for vacation reasons. I'm running out of vacation in part because I am going to Bendix Air Brake school the first full week of June in Chicago.
We could do it labor day for sure and by then we should need a good shakedown cruise :) I would also prefer to be parked somewhere I WONT get buried in the mud again :)
Well Now,
It looks as though we are getting specific, both on dates and parking.
The 24 thru 27 dates get my vote as does my previous parking position.
Oh wait, you've moved?
Oh I wanta come i wanta come please please pleasee. LOL Both dates work for me as I will spend all of sept on the road on the east cost anyway. I will bring the beef just in case any one was wondering.
Don
Well it was almost gonna be the 24th -26th dates, but now there is SOME interest in Labor day weekend.
I guess we'll see if anyone else chimes up before making it final!
;D BK ;D
We might go if we get back at the alabama property by then...
I will be there but I need at least a week's notice. It is a long way from western NC when you go the way I do. Hope Kentucky has got a bigger ferry. It will save me a big detour.
I can taste the tri tips and the trip to Lambert's.
BK do I need to bring my own big oak tree.
Looking forward to seeing every one and showing Don the good way back to NC.

No need to bring an Oak tree Ned, we have trees. (mostly sycamores, but they have shade too!)
;D BK ;D
OK Bringing this back up to the top of the chart again one last time before making the dates definite.
We proposed either the weekends of
August 23rd, 24th, & 25th
or August 31st, September 1st, & 2nd.... (LABOR DAY weekend)
We are tentatively going for the August 23rd, 24th, & 25th right now as the responses we've received in favor of either weekend have been about 50%-50% and it looks as though it would be easiest on "The Don" who's traveling all the way from CA for this. And also my business will be slower then too!
SO IF YOU have anything to add that might sway it one way or the other SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR PEACE!
As always anybody & EVERYBODY is invited!
Early arrivals and late departures are welcome too!
;D BK ;D
I will be there. I will be in and out both weekends if Bryce dont kick me out for being my self to much. LOL
we would like a count as I will be bringing the beef with me, I need to buy it in cal as most people from the mid and west east dont know what a trytip roast is. come on every body lets have a party. Do we need some red solo cups to get it going.
thanks
Don
You are correct Don most of the people like the front of the cow better
In Texas we made ground beef or stew meat with that part of the cow only Californians could come with BQ for those things lol but I still call you my friend ok
Good luck
Had a great time last year looking forward to going again. Both dates are fine with me. ;D

Rick we're 50 miles farther south now, but easier to find because we're right on US 70 now, and not out in the boonies like we used to be. LOL!
;D BK ;D
I won't know for a few more weeks if I can come at all so you'll just have to set a date and I may or may not be able to make it.
Lord willing and the creek don't rise , The wife and I will be making our first bus gathering.. IF ours is ready I'm sure our little skoolie will be intimidated by the rest of you ;) if not the car and tent will be cruising!
Have fun !

Eric your skoolie is as welcome any $2,500,000.00 rig that shows up! (but I really don't expect the secret service & Obama to show) ;)
No need to be intimidated. We've had pick-up campers, Monte Carlos, Escorts and motorcycles too!
ALL are welcome and it don't matter how ya get here!
;D BK ;D
Eric, one year we had a Harley guy leave in one vehicle and come back on the back of a Honda.LOL
we just have fun all are welcome.
Don
Yeah an one yr a guy went to back his Gillig chassis "Country Coach" in beside the GM's that had parked BEFORE we had several days of frog strangling gully washers.
;D BK ;D
we would like to make a trip home to Brighton this year and this might give me the extra push! I hate traveling on the holiday weekends, the earlier dates my vote.
Yea and there was no warning on that one, it sank real quick.
Hey you think if I had that revcon I found up on blocks towed back there Cody would show up, we wouldn't want him to get home sick you know. HE HE HE

Don
Don I agree you had no warning on the sinking as soon as you left the gravel. I was on the phone (with Cody I think, who was broke down in WI @ the time) and trying to get out there to stop you from backing in, but as we all know I didn't make it in time.
As far as the Revcon goes......
Can you tow a "toad" that big without drawing to much attn. from law enforcement?
And if we're gonna tempt Cody with a "Revcon" we gotta do it on the other board as he's still banned here. ;)
;D BK ;D
got yea, I'll go over there and stir the pot a little. LOL
I don't know Bryce you think a revcon would work as a towed, theres still no engine in it and it need tires, I would need to build a tow bar but I think it can be done. Maybe mom & Dad would like it when were through with it.
Don
Hey Don guess who I'm on the phone with right now?
If ya got a minute give me a jingle on the office phone and we can make it a conference call.
;D BK ;D
BK, what is the address so I can google map it, I would love to come down but we will see what fuel $ is then. I already have a trip to MB in july so 2 big trips may be pushing it. Jason

Our address is 22150 E. Main, Huntingdon, TN 38344.
Main is the same @ US 70 and we're 1/4 mile off the "bypass" that goes "around" Huntingdon on US 70 going toward Camden, TN
We're exactly 1/2 way between Nashville & Memphis 15 minutes north of I-40 @ exit 108 (hwy 22)
