thanks guys for the trailer hitch suggestions. now i am curious on how you get furniture thru the front door. there must be a bus trick that i am not seeing. i tried to find the answer in previous topics but was not successful. please will someone fill me in on this great secret.
if it doesn't fit through the door, most people go through a window.
that would work. is it hard to remove a window and then replace it. or would you use one of the emergency exits
Not sure how the windshields are attached on your bus, but on my bus... If you have a helper, you can have the passenger side windshield out in just a couple of minutes. That is how I bring large things in and out. I also have a spare windshield just in case:)

Passenger side windsheild is best!!!!

Your emergency windows can be propped open and makes a good entrance point. Other wise windshield(passanger side). If your close( Like a couch) wrap it tight with plastic wrap to reduce size. to squeeze thru door. Take door off refrige to take in. few ideas that have worked for me. Bob
i would like to try the emergency side window first before removeing a front window. when you pull the lever does the window stay in place and is able to be relatched or does it fall to the ground.

Emergency escape windows are USUALLY hinged at the top, release the catch and it will swing out from the bottom.
But, best to be careful the first time, and inspect the hinge mounts and pins for presence and corrosion.
happy coaching!

I put everything through the side windows by propping them up . they are not supposed to come off unless you remove the two latching screws at either side of the hinge. That makes it easy to change a window by removing the screws and then opening to the point where the window falls off the hinge Jerry
look closely at your energency windows .I opened and closed mine all the time. Even propped them open for air flow. they never fell out on the 89 prevost xl. Bob
Propped my emergency side windows open 90 degrees with a 12 ft 2x2 then lifted in my refrigerator (10cf) thru the window with 2 people. Will do the same with couch when I find one.
Big bucks if you break the windshield taking it out or putting it back in.
Glued up all my base cabinets and pantry inside the bus so they didn't have to be lifted in but would have fit thru the side window if necessary. Gerry H
thanks for all your suggestions. i am going to go to my local ikea store and buy furniture that i need to build in the bus. i luv the swedes
I got lucky. There was an exit door right in the middle of the right side of my bus. When I blocked in the entrance door to create a "driver/co-pilot" cab, I covered the exit door (about 54" wide) with a sheet of plywood but it's hinged. I haven't needed to put anything that didn't go in that opening. It will get closed in with alu sheet siding and a Peninsula window at the right time.

My entry door moved to the right side (the "curb" side versus the "kerb" side). That walled in area will become a breakfast booth.

I recently read a note that something like 55% of all the Europeans alive today were conceived on an Ikea bed. Haven't seen any figures on kitchen tables. Hope you get good use with yours!
luv those stats. i will keep you posted on the kitchen table ;D
