Ready to install lights inside the bus. I have looked at in line puck lights at first however the wires will be exposed.
I am wondering if anyone has experience with track lighting. There are some very nice track lights that would work nicely and look fine.
Ideas, other options. The bus is all 110 volt!
Thanks
Grant
Grant, My coach did not have enough lighting so I add a track light on the valance over the couch (that is was I had 120 power) great for reading, my only complaint is even with small lights if I am not careful I bump the light, I do not think it would be a problem if they were on the ceiling.

I used low voltage tract lights. They were 24V DC bulbs fed by a 120V AC transformer. I simply eliminated the the transformer and fed them from the bus 24V. No problem, lots of light from a small fixture. HTH JIm
i am almost done changing all my 110v and 12v lights over to the 3-4 watt led mr16 bulbs which are 12v. am using adaptors for both normal 110v screw base, and bayonett connection base... bulbs are around $3 each and adaptors around $2 each.. entire bus will take less than 20 bulbs.. which will be overkill, as i am running only 12 now and its very bright inside.
I've installed this lighting from ebay

It has 3M adhesive backing and can be cut to length at cut points and wires soldered on, uses 12volts. Get the bright white not the warm light if lots of light is needed, there is some with double and triple rows of the led's. It is also water proof. I have it behind the valance and some under the cabinets along the floor.
Chev,
When I looked at MR16 bulbs, they are almost #20/ each. What is your source?
eBay has the mr16 base 12v bulbs. the ones with 3 leds are 3 watts. I am not talking about the ones with around 20 on a circuit board.. am referring to the ones with the glass /plastic around the 3 or 4 leds with an aluminum top surrounding them. There is a seller in california that sells 5 of them for about 14.00 with shipping. they have very long life..my first test one i bought 18 months ago from China is still on all the time in my shop..
seller on ebay is lightingsavings... the store is lighting savings.. I have purchased 20 bulbs from them i think
adaptor bases i still purchase from china, and they take about 3 weeks or so for delivery.
hope this helps.
Well, that is certainly an easy way to make the conversion. I will think about it for the future. Right now, I have 120v compact florescents hidden behind a valance. It would be easy to switch that whole circuit to 12v and convert to LED as you have done. I'm just not sure if I want to keep it at 120v. The switch would obviously save energy when unplugged (as opposed to lighting through the inverter), but would then be indirect when plugged in. Anyway, something to think about.
