Title: More LPG reg ?
Post by: saddleup on March 08, 2012, 05:19:30 AM
OK,got a 0-10# regulator coming, ? is should i put a 20# reg or another 0-10 set at 10# at the tank, hooking up to 30# tanks and maybe bigger, worried about to much pressure hitting the reg. i need set at 7#.
Thanks Matt

pressure in the lp tank changes with temperature, regardless of tank size. a 10# tank will have the same pressure as a 100# tank at the same temperature. If you are using an apliance that uses a large volume of fuel, a larger tank is better to prevent freezeup. As the liquid expands to gas the temperature in the tank gets very cold. There's more involved than that, but you get the idea.
