Dear Friends,
Thanks to all who have taken the time to answer my millions of questions in the past! I have learned a lot from everybody!
I have been looking for options for my house battery bank. I have finally located a new place near here in central old Mexico that supplies many types of batteries for industrial use, such as floor sweepers, etc.
1. I am pretty much decided on L-16 type, instead of T-105, due to almost double amp hour capacity (390-AH, versus 225-AH) and the Trojan manual says the L-16 plates are much thicker. Am I correct?
2. This company sells both Trojan™ and Crown™ brands. Crown is about 10% cheaper for the same battery. Which brand would you chose?
3. I plan on getting two batteries initially, and adding two more in the near future. Is this a good plan? It will be running a 3,000-watt inverter.
I already have a 55-amp house battery charger installed. Also a 450-amp battery isolator from the engine's generator.
Thanks in advance!
P. S. I just corrected my post to read "T-105" instead of "L-105".
