Title: Turn Signal Flashers
Post by: mlh1936 on February 15, 2012, 07:03:18 PM
I don't have any manuals with me so I ask for your help. Is there a separate flasher for the front and rear signal lights? My 1987 102A-3 right rear and aft side turn signals don't flash. They illuminate steady while the right front signals flash normally. The left side flashes normally front, side and rear. Thanks.

That commonly happens when one of the filaments in a two filament bulb burns out.

Yup, as noted, carefully check the bulbs and the sockets for shorts.

Many bulb sockets are in sad shape when busnuts inherit them, any slop or corrosion, think hard about replacing them to save future headaches.

Use the dielectric grease or spray of your liking during reassembly, no matter if you clean 'em up or replace 'em.

happy coaching!
