Title: All by Myself in Grand Marais
Post by: chuckd on February 13, 2012, 02:26:05 PM
Well after much internal debate, between all the people who reside in my head, I opted out of the Montana trip and instead headed up north (That is Minnesota Speak for anywhere north of the twin cities) to Grand Marais, which is 42 miles from Canada.  Trip was about 250 miles, and the little Prevost is purring right along.

Mid teens for lows, and high 20's for highs, it is unreal how mild it is.  There is damn little snow as well.  Will go up the gunflint trail road, and find some cc ski areas with snow.  I know my compass is all screwed up, and leading me in all the wrong directions, but hey the campgrounds are not crowded!  EE only here, and right next to an indoor water facility with showers, pool, hot tub etc.

Will take a few pictures of a very cold looking lake.

Hi Chuck,
Nice to see you're trying to enjoy our snowless winter. What a drag.
I'm getting the MC5 ready for a trip to New Orleans in late March. Spring break; you know.
Glad to hear the Prevost is running fine.

Yes, photos would be nice. Some of us dream of being in a cold and snowy place this time of year. My wife and I are two of them. Yet, here we are, stuck in Orlando... ::)
