I am looking for any and all drawings of busses (not photos) for engraving
http://www.busconversions.com/bbs/index.php?topic=1897.0
I prefer nice black and white line drawings in a CAD format but I'll take anything I can get. I've pretty much checked all MS Clipart and Peter McLaughlin's stuff at http://www.busdrawings.com/
Anything you might have or can point me to would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Len
Hi Len,
It won't be long before we're in Central FL for the winter. I'd really like to talk with you one day, perhaps at Arcadia, about doing a set of glasses with our bus carved into them. All I have is the profile of the bus...but wouldn't that be neat to have guests over for a glass of Orange Juice (?) and have a set of glasses with the bus profile in them? ;)
We'll talk later, for sure......

Larry, what function are you using to convert the photo? Emboss?
Jim
While it won't create line art, if you have Photoshop, try the Stylize>Find Edges filter. As an example, I used a photo from the ones posted in the bus photos thread for a before and after demo. I am not familiar with Irfanview but I just glanced at it and it may have a similar filter. Corel PhotoPaint does too. In fact, the Corel Draw package includes (or at least used to, I haven't looked lately) a utility named Corel Trace that creates line drawings from photos. Using Corel Trace takes a lot of trial and error practice to get good results.
