Title: Recording music inside my Eagle Model 10
Post by: Bus Busted on February 06, 2012, 04:03:50 PM
I recorded this video while we were doing some song recording inside my 1984 Eagle Model 10. The bus is in no way done, just good enough to travel without the mixing board or other things shifting around. Once I get everything where I want it and know how much space I need, I'll have some of the things you see reworked to look a lot better. I would again like to thank everyone who posts for helping me get the bus this far. Searching past posts have solved a few problems that I have run into.

I'll post some other shots soon of the rest of the bus to show how far I still need to go (still in the first 8 months).

P.S. All the music you hear was recorded inside the bus with a gas, Dewalt 7000 gen running 35ft from the back of the bus (parked a van between the bus and the gen to help lower the sound using long power cords)

Thanks Dave and Terry,
Now for the down side, this it what the bus looks like when the curtain is open. Still have a loooong way to go. For now it gets the job down and the bed will be ready soon (sleeping's a must).

Sad part is I'm starting to find rust, I'll have to post those pic's at another time under another post. At this point I'm sure what I'm seeing falls under "Repair, it's standard Eagle rust through". But I'll let the pros here help me on that. Nothing is so locked down that it can't be moved to another bus if it's too far gone, which I think it's not. Here are the last of the inside shots. Yep, just getting started...

I am not a super musician but i have been in on about 7-10 recordings and i would say the sound is good and your mix is excellent. The song is awesome as is your vocals, good choice on the duet partner. If its ok i would like to repost to some of my friends facebook pages. My wife writes and she loves it. way to go, living the  dream haha.

Wow.  That song actually brought tears to my I eyes.  Bravo.  Great lyrics.  Your partner reminds me of Joplin.  Hope the song makes you a million.

How are you killing off the reflections on the vocals?   in my bus and it's very difficult to dampen the walls.

Thanks John, I have foam behind the curtains and even lowering the front sun screen cut some of the bounce back from the front glass. Will be installing a front curtain to fully block the front glass. Thanks again
