Title: Flight102C-3 AC ? original
Post by: robertglines1 on February 01, 2012, 03:38:29 PM
On the coach I just re did the roof openings were as Clifford said 14 by 14 the air box for ducted air below them was approx 5 inches tall  24 inches square and divided in the middle for cold air return and distribution box for ac distribution which were 3 inch flex plastic hose stating and terminated in galvanized sheet metal {round duct) with plastic  diffusers on end. There were also approx 2 inch by 12 inch rectangular ducts fro distribution but require ceiling height reduction... If your roof isn't raised this will cause problems with height.     The XLE these measurements came from is a tall coach with a 84 inch inside height.  Hope this information helps you.   Bob ##### note every time you bend air it restricts flow and takes more power to move side benefit it quietens down noise.
