identifying the part number for a bulb. On an MCI-8 there are 2 bulbs that turn on when the baggage doors are opened. I've found replacements for one of them...the other bulb I cannot find a number for. It is 24v, double contacts and the tabs on the outside are offset...the other bulb isn't.
any answers?
Try an airport maintenance shop. Many aircraft use a 28 volt system the same as our Bus, and many of the bulbs look identical to automotive type, same mounting, contacts, sockets...
Aviation bulbs will be very long life, like 10,000 hour rating with high resistance to vibration/shock.
According to "Da Book" one bulb is a 308 IF which is 28 VDC and used when the bus in not in station, the other one is 15T7 DC/IF 130 VAC and is used when plugged up in station.

the one plugged in at station will be common household 120 volt very similar to ones used in sewing machines etc. I took mine out. I think they stay on all time the station service plug is plugged in. Bob
This place should have any you need. I ordered on line and had them in 3 days and great prices.

Thanks for the help...I thought both were supposed to be on at the same time.
