Title: Replacing Prevost XL Driver's side window
Post by: Gerry H on January 29, 2012, 09:52:57 AM
My original 3 pc insulated Lexan driver's side window has turned cloudy and is on my list of things to replace. (approx $265 from Prevost)
I have seen a 2 pc sliding unit in some newer coaches and was considering changing to that, if not cost prohibitive. Has anyone done this conversion to their coach and can you offer some part numbers, costs or advice? I am assuming this can be done through Prevost parts without going through aftermarket window mfgs.
  I have a 1992 LeMirage XL40. Thanks Gerry H

Did you check with Prevost to see if they offer the two piece sliding ?

Check with Prevost, I think they made a kit to convert but it was over $3K!!!  I had a break  in on my 89 and tried to replace the frame that was damaged, but they had none in stock about 3 years ago and they were not planning on making more...
