I would like to find a shop in the Tulsa area that is good and honest to replace the kingpins and do a alignment on my MCI 102C. Under other conditions this is something that I would not hesitate to do myself but I do not have the time and need to get it done in the next few weeks.
Clifford, I know you are a ex Tulsan, can you point me in the right direction?
Here you go Doug any one of the 3 can do it or head you in the right direction

Are you familier with Tulsa Spring off of 41st street. Someone locally told me to talk to them but have no personal experiance with them.
That is a good outfit Doug they done a lot of work for me over the years on trucks and trailers never had bus work done there but I would say they can do it
good luck
I took my car to Tulsa spring for a front end alignment, 15 minutes later they said they were done and charged me $45.00.. several weeks later I took it to another front shop shop and they aligned it correctly even driving it several times to make sure it was correct. I will NEVER recommend Tulsa spring.. The local bus repair shops ( and the only one that does commercial repairs, pacesetter do not do this type of work. I would suggest you take it to a commercial truck front end shop. there is one on north Lewis that does front end and trailer repairs
I never had a good experience with Tulsa Spring either! I lived outside of Tulsa in the late 90's and had several run ins with them, Freightliner, an Michelin over a brand new tractor that ate the left steer tire like mad several times in under 40-50,000 miles.
Took it to Ft. Smith Spring & Alignment and within 15 mins they had found the problem and told me about it and 4 hrs later they had it fixed! (The front axle was not with-in the axle manufactures specs, but was within Freightliners. They re-bent it on a frame machine and the truck never ate another tire!) Also one of my trucks got wrecked and slid 1/4 mile on it's side and the insurance company wouldn't pay for the frame rails to be replaced. I fought them tooth & nail and the insurance co had Tulsa Spring & Freightliner tell me they didn't need replaced. (but the body shop manager @ Freightliner was a friend of mine and told me he was told to tell me it didn't need them by his boss.) I had it towed to Ft. Smith and checked with my own $ and low and behold it did need them! I refused to return it to Freightliner's body shop like the insurance wanted me to, and took it to Tulsa Peterbilt (where my friend went after Freightliner canned him for telling me the truth) and had it rebuilt with new frame rails!
The insurance company & I went round & round over that one, but I ended up winning in the end. (It was financed & insured both by Alliance.) The insurance side saw the light after I told the finance side where the truck was, why I wasn't making the payment and where they could shove the truck after THEY picked it up from Peterbilt! (somehow they saw to pay the bill so I would pick up the truck, sign off on the repair and pick up the payments again!)
It's your bus, and it's been a lot of yrs. But if it were mine I'd spend the extra time & $ to take it down to Ft. Worth and know it was done right the first time!
;D BK ;D
That's funny BK just shows the difference in 2 shops owned by the same person I have used both he has a shop in OKC also
