Title: Camping along I-40?
Post by: challenger440 on January 25, 2012, 01:57:10 PM
Are there any good, free or very inexpensive places to camp going west from Needles on I-40?   I have a brother staying at a  campground there but he would like to find something less expensive.  Federal, state, local etc.  Or would it be better to head east into AZ.   Thanks.  JM

Plenty of dry camping around Needles check the BLM office in Needles on Ca 95 1/2 mile south of I 40 you need a few days I am north of Needles on Az 95 towards BullHead.

The AVI on the Nev side of the river from Ft Mohave has free dry camping but you pay 5 bucks to dump and water just about all the camp grounds here are 350 to 400 a month + electric this time of the year

good luck
