Joe do you know this bus a 2002 Featherlite (not crazy about Featherlite) Ebay 180770353783 I know what he won't take LOL but I believe it can be bought right need your advice or input
good luck
Very unusual floor plan. Can't quite figure out how it will work in real life.
It is the plainest vantare or Featherlite Ive ever seen not to say I do not like it.
I would guess by his description he is not a "bus nut"
It will have the entire coach wired thru the inverters 2 trace 4024's with manuall bypass switches, 8-8d's (all stuff I love about them)
Looks like a side isle and it also looks like it has a roof deck.
Quit beatin all these nice folks up with those lowball offers of yours ;D
If you get him where you want him Ill go look at it for you if you like
See ours out there again? It just may go this time lot of intrest.
That one is really a Vogue from Pryor Ok,I'll contact you if I get him where I want him lol good luck on yours I have a friend looking at it
good luck
Slight correction.
The house a/c will be divided up between 2 cruisair 1 cockpit and 1 bedroom and 1 large basement carrier unit or similar.
That basement unit is not on inverter but EVERY other 110volt a/c powered item in the house will be powered thru them. Cruisairs, heaters all those things most converters leave ot of those circuts they run the ENTIRE HOUSE thru inverter.
When preforming correctly you can boondock and do a 8hr overnight in the heat of summer with the bedroom a/c running on inverter and the gen will not autostart before you get up, bedroom door closed. Very cool. no pun intended ;D
Very well documented many many out there gives you a wealth of information and support.
Bad is all the air house stuff. Willing to bet bet lift is leaking like a sieve and next thing would be the back panel of the Ilse closet that's where all the door stuff is. They are all very very similar thou and there is a bunch of them.
I like them many are the most completely accessorized coaches converted. There is a guy in Florida who used to supervise production for Vantare and does his own thing now. Donny Meyer he left when featherlite came along but if you are ever wanting info for pre 2000 on those he will have the answer.
Its snowing in Chicago big fluffy flakes there is a very slite brease off the lake. First snow of the year. My dad used to say 2 good snows the first one and the last. My dog is up in the chair with me slowly pusing me off the seat. Bout normal.
Being the owner of a 94 Vogue (not a conversion), I can tell you without a doubt that their construction and craftsmanship is second to none.
My only complaint has been poor documentation on mine, though it may have gotten better by 2002.
We have some friends with a Vogue it is one of my top 3 favorites.
That is a whole different animal tho. IMO
I have the build sheet on the bus Peggy x Vogue sales manger sent me today even the selling price it was 1st of the last 3 to leave Pryor a special build
good luck
The Vogue was like 3 different companys or something like that Right?
Mr. Mitchell was the founder know that.
The only one I have any experiance with is a 97 or so. The quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail was second to none. Dan and Jo's bus and he drives the hell out of it. Really a nice nice bus.
What year did the Vogue lable go away??
I999 or 2000 was the last of the Vogue labels the Pryor plant closed in 2006 or 07 I think and it was just a repair center and used sales lot then
Up date Joe Oct 2001 was the last of Vogue label Peggy told me they finished what was on line including 3 Prevost with Featherlite labels and 2 Vogue V 45's
good luck
O/K now I understand
So it is an XLII but a 2000 chassis possibly?
Featherlite screwed up Mitchell had it together he made RV's from gas burners to Prevost's the V models were nice coaches in the 400,000 range with Cat engines built from ground up in Pryor
good luck
From even what little I have learned about Mr. Mitchell I like his style.
So a XLII Vogue, almost 1 of a kind
I know a little about the rig in question because a brooker here in Florida I knew was listing it. It is deffinetly not a Vogue. It is a Prevost XLII. It did not life start as a RV, but as an "office" or "corporate" bus. It also has roof a/c's, not Cruiseaires or basement air's. Don't know if Featherlite did the original layout or maybe just involved years later when the "living" (RV) accomodations were added. Notice the passenger seat doesn't match and looks like an after thought. To the best of my knowledge when Featherlite did RV style conversions they were ALL badged "Vantare", this one is not and didn't start out as one. This rig has been for sale for a pretty long time.
Featherlite did the Vogue badge on Prevost also they got pissed when Harvey went back in the conversion business when he bought Parliament in Fl.so they dropped the Vogue badge a few of the 5000's had a Featherlite badge till they stopped production on all Class A RV's in 2001
Peggy said the work was done at Vogue in Pryor Ok she sent me a copy of the work order not a nice conversion she said, all I am after is the shell Larry @ Paradise Coach will take care of the rest lol no way will I pay his asking price and he will never get 168,000 bucks
good luck
When I said it was not a Vogue what I ment was it was not a "Featherlite Vogue" as in the class A, which was not a Prevost conversion but a ground up class A motorhome (Vogue 5000 ???), which someone said it may have been in a previous response. Sorry for the confussion. Did Peggy say if it started life in it's present configuration ??? The broker I knew deffinetly made it sound like it started out as a "corporate" coach and updated to RV layout later on. I had many conversations about this bus with him because he was trying to sell it to me, LOL...
My office was 15 miles from Vogue in Pryor I stopped by all the time hell I even bought a Featherlite Prevost Vogue just about the time Featherlite was making the deal for Mitchell in 1997 and 1998.
Peggy didn't say she just said it was a special build she thought it was tacky lol but the right buy I can do a little work and make a nice conversion
good luck
