Title: Converting Prevost LeMirage - question on removing seat/heatduct bar
Post by: LordFamily on December 06, 2011, 08:45:38 AM
Hey All,
We're in the beginning stages of converting our third bus.  The LeMirage 1983 has an iron bar welded to the wall frame running parallel to the floor.  This angled bar has bolts for the seat bench as well as it functions for the top of the floor heat duct to attached to.

Is it ok to remove this or should I bend the angle part that sticks out down?

Thanks in advance.

I have a 1989 Prevost but when gutting never came across the bar you are referring to. Maybe being 6 years newer mine did not have it.

Steve their bus is a pre 84 and a 96 wide not 102 like yours and mine.

And thats just for starters.

84 was a huge year for the XL it got its new front cap new wheelwell trim went to 102wide. Went on to keep most of those design elements right up till 2000.

Pre and after 84 are two very different animals for the XL
