Title: frame rubber bumper over suspension mc1
Post by: rayshound on October 19, 2006, 07:34:16 AM
Over the years I have read posts talking about the bolts being stuck holding the frame rubber bumpers over the front & rear suspension. Almost every post talked about the bolt being frozen & the need to drill out etc. What I have found on my mci-8 on all four rubber bumpers is that they are tack welded in two places on the large washer to the frame. I have my bus blocked up off the ground and the rearend and the front suspension removed. After cutting away the damaged rubber two perfect tach welds per bumper.I cut the welds with a cutoff wheel and the bolts unscrewed from the frame with minium effort. Just info. Has anyone else discovered this. Thanks Ray

Rayshound, Mine had no weld on them.  2 of the 4 broke off.    Tom Y
