Today I found this in a 1969 issue of Popular Mechanics. While old, it still applies.

That is a great find. I really enjoyed browsing through the articles and adds. The only thing missing is the feel and smell if the mag. Thanks...Cable

My God we are all lucky to be alive. Spent most of the afternoon reading the magazine. I really liked the idea of the drop bar to send the front of your car in the air if your about to be in an accident. As far as the camper part goes I think my aunt and uncle read that section. It said to get sleeping bags for the kids to sleep out on the ground with the ants and bears so they could be comfy in their camper. What the hell? We did not have many bears here in Texas but the ants are every where. Oh and I sure am glad the idea of using nuclear bombs to dig canals did not go through. I don't care how much cheaper it would have been. Just shaking my head and thanking God we are still here. Thanks for the link it was a good read today.
