I noticed that I have a steady drip coming in front of the head behind the compressor on the right side looking
from the rear. I used a can of break clean and sprayed the area off. Took some rags and wiped everything that I
could get my fingers in between. First thing I noticed was, what appears to be a hole on the face of the head
about the size of the tip of your for finger. Feels like the size of the weep hole on the water pump. On the other
end looks like there are 2-3 holes with Allen screws in there. I hope I'm describing this right. Now the question
is, without seeing, is there an Allen screw that has backed out or is it a hole in the head? Motor is a 8V-92N
In my MCI-5B.
Steve 5B..... Thanks!
Not sure for you but I had leak in compressor gasket in same area just needed to build new gasket to get mine to stop.

John, was the gasget on the back side of the compressor?
Steve 5B.....
Between back of engine and the compressor yes. It was making a mess all over back of bus.

Misspelled the word GASKET, hit the letter g instead of the k.
I didn't unhook the cooling lines from my compressor. I just took off enough to pull it out a bit and built a new gasket with a ball peen hammer and then reinstalled compressor.

Steve first off try tightening the compressor bolts! On more than one occasion I have found this to be a source of a leak and once tightened all was good for many many miles!
;D BK ;D
Oh and yes it's possible you've lost a plug. I've seen that as well! (but not as often as a loose compressor!)

Bk, thanks for the info, I'll try that. What is the object of having plugs there anyway?
Steve 5B......
Those plugs are there for when you mate 2- 8v92 together and it becomes a 16v92
good luck

You know, with a lil doghouse out the back and some dolly wheels, that old 5B could really haul with a 16V92. Just sayin.

Boy if that aint the truth, ive had quite a few myself. The worst was a 94 F350, the diesel was dripping everywhere, everything was soaked with oil. Valve covers, front cover, oil pan, it was all loose. Spent a couple hours or so tightening bolts and screws, there were a LOT loose, never dripped a drop in the 6 years I owned it.

Would it be possible one of those plugs could have vibrated loose if it isn't the compressor gasket?

Yes it's possible and has happened, but from my experience the bolt on accessories bolt loosen more often than those plugs.
