Title: E-Bay
Post by: Joe Camper on November 23, 2011, 06:43:25 AM
I had a friend come over last night and help me put our bus up.

I Put my own starting bid at 25 a buy it now at 40 and 30 for the hidden reserve. 10hr into a 7 day auction I have a bid that met the reserve.

I don't know how to feel LOL

I tried to honestly put it where it would be a winning transaction for both parties and from the looks of it I priced it right.

Joe, at some point before long I am needing to see about putting a platform on the top of our bus and I was wondering if you might have a few pictures of yours you could send me if its not to much trouble still trying to get some ideas of materials and mounting. I designed the one on our old schoolie but after all was said and done wasn't real crazy about the final outcome so trying to get some fresh ideas. BTW hope your auction goes well looks like a great buy for someone.

      Thanks, Billy

I would let it ride!!! If it has already met reserve, you may be a little low. But I do know of one member recently who purchased a 1990-1991(I think) eagle converted by country coach for around 43k. It was listed with no reserve. He sent his deposit promptly and was making plans to pick it up when the owner called him and told him the night before that he had decided to sell the coach to someone else!!!! This was several days after the auction ended and they had recieved his deposit. When he went to Ebay he was told (( OUR AUTOMOTIVE CONTRACTS ARE NON BINDING))) and the owner could do what ever he wanted. I think he did get his deposit back, but after that I think that ebay is a joke when it comes to reliability!!! Given that, if you are concerned, I would contact the bidder and try to sell it outside ebay!!! If the high bidder backs out, you are still stuck with fees and they will do little or nothing for you!!! If it sells they will take their part for basicly NOTHING!!!! Just my $.02!!!

Eric,
It ain't that easy as just selling off EBAY. Once reserves are met, or bids placed Ebay gets there $ from the seller whether the transaction goes thru or not!

Billy here is a few photos of the roof deck

http://prevostmotorhomes.ning.com/forum/topics/roof-deck (http://prevostmotorhomes.ning.com/forum/topics/roof-deck)

Zeroclearence we are going to buy and restore a vintage travel trailer nothing larger than can be pulled with a 1/2 ton PU so under 5000lb. The new sicks and staples trlrs are lite probably get 26 ftr in under that weight. The older ones are heavier probably 17 to 19ftr will be where we end up.

I once saw a special on mega yachts. A Berger boat owner suggested you do not want to own a large vessel like this you want to have a good friend who does. This is what I have concluded about professionally converted Prevo. I have many friends who own them LOL

I will still more than get by bus fix continuing to fix them and hanging out here.
