Title: Moving air brake release on MCI-9
Post by: BRUISER on November 21, 2011, 07:41:23 AM
Hey all,

so been looking at doing some interior remodeling and wanted to see where you have moved your air brake release valves?

mine is located next to drivers chair on the metal rail near shifter.
see image below:

I want to remove that metal rail and put in new chairs that can spin around to be used as part of living area..

thanks for any advice in advance..

I moved mine to left wall, my right hand still wonders around looking for it once in a while but i manage. I also miss the handle but my chair spins and that makes me happy.

I moved mine to left side of steering column at bottom of dash. Moving air line wasn't difficult. Marc

There are 3 air lines going to the valve.  Make note of which one goes where.
All the lines are accessible from the spare tire compartment.  Original ones are copper. Just replace each one from it's fitting with nylon air line
using the appropriate connectors and run them wherever you want.
