There was a 9 inch space between the fridge and the wall that was a catch all space. I wanted a pantry there but buying custom built cabinets bothered my frugal nature. I decided to build one myself. ( yes Clifford I am cheap and even designed and made my own drawer guides). Twenty four inches deep and six drawers - Aspen frames Oak panels and Zebra wood accents. It's not motorized but it serves our purpose --- and I took a picture ;)
I used to be a carpenter and I have to say, fantastic job. Lets see a picture of those guides
I used strips of left over sheet metal to make these. It keeps the drawer from tipping out and because there are no rollers the drawers should not open when going down the road. I waxed the bottoms of the drawers to make them open easier. You can see the track -- there is one on each side and then the part that fits on the back of the drawer and mates into the tracks.
