For these to work on cargo trailer but would only work with both being red, not one each!

Explain the Tail light converter. Does it change the 24volt signal to 12 volt for the trailer?
Dave
I like the puck lights! I haven't found recessed LED Pucks - are those that?
Well what the Puck!!! Nice job there Ace, I thin BCO Gave me one of those, gonna have to go dig it out. I'm redoing my entry way in the Bird right now, but getting some more lighting in there is coming up next, thanks for the pics and the motivation ;) ;D Oh! Are the Puck's L.E.D or halo's?
V-man
my bus is 12 v and it just allows my bus that has independent turn/brake lights to speak with my cargo trailer that has combined lights.
The puck lights are indeed 12 volt flush mounted and require only a 2 1/4 inches in diameter hole for mounting. They are halogen!
looks good ace when i am ready for floors i know who to call, thanks jim
Ace the lighting mods look great.
Where did you purchase the 12V puck lights?
A local rv place that does re-furbs has them at 15.00 each. Ive had these for a while and I think they now have led replacement bulbs that plug right in for these lights.
hi ace this local rv dealer does he have used stuff for sale ? allways looking for deals thanks john
ps. asking as will be passing through the lakeland area in a few weeks
Hi John! Unfortunately, the only used items they MIGHT have is stuff they removed!
Ace, You need to think of starting your very own bus project thread. Foolsgold deserves a place to show off your work!
This will get lost as it ages. Think about it please.
Good work!
Thanks Paul but I'm just sharing some stuff of what I'm doing as an upgrade. Maybe some new guys in the hobby that werent around when we originally did the work can catch some tidbits on how we did things and maybe help them understand how its done or possibly see just another way of doing it.
Its just another bus conversion and like us, is getting older every day and although we are proud if what we have, there are many finer busses out there that people have converted that would be much better suited. Our conversion is very far from perfect. In fact, hardly at all up to code as some might say but we know its safe to travel in and its comfortable for what we use it for. And as the pictures might make it look like a million dollar conversion (to me anyway) it sure don't match up to those that sit in the super rv shows that glisten and gleem and you have to take your shoes off to go inside.
We built this bus on a budget and still, if not more today, for weekend get a ways, not for full timing so a lot of things you may look for in a conversion are just not there.
I know since I started, this hobby, or passion, it has grown by leaps and bounds and a lot of mistakes have been made and people hopefully learn from it. I know I have and maybe these updates will teach those of what to do and NOT to do! :)
Mind Reader!!! you sure said a mouth full there. Probably same reason I don't share more. Keep up building for yourself. Bob

Ace -Like hanging your tanks from the floor?
OMG, did THAT ever stir up a hornet's nest! All the flames and brickbats by the naysayer's could have become fodder for Comedy Central or Saturday Night Live. (Of course, either outfit would have produced a crappy routine!)
But they're still hangin' in there, aren't they! ;D
FWIW & HTH. . .
;)
Yes RJ, those were the days and yes the tank in question is still hanging and doing just fine. It hasn't come loose and busted out of the bay door while traveling the interstate killing some innocent family in a car like some thought it would! A lot of static over nothing and to be honest I have seen some other conversions done after mine that were done very similar and I have even seem some more aluminum fuel tanks used as I did. Would I do it that way again? Only if I did another bus but chances are slim!
