Title: Badges, Emblems, Medallions, etc
Post by: JohnVickrey on November 13, 2011, 04:01:25 PM
I have had several inquiry's about the emblem for a GM 4107 and the rear emblem on the Silverside.  We would like to try and reproduce these emblems so.....
If you have a Badge, Emblem, or Medallion that you would like reproduced, I need the remnants of an old one.  If it was made from plastic or acrylic we would like to try and reproduce it.  I will pay a reasonable price for the remnants, or you can donate the remnants and I will give you a deep discount on a reproduction.  No guarantees, we won't know if it can be done until we have the pieces of an old one.

The GM Medallion for the 4104 seen elsewhere on the board was a success.  The reproduction actually looks much better than to original. If you haven't seen a picture of the 4104 Medallion here is the picture.

Hi

Does anyone know if there was there an emblem with just GM on it.
I think I can remember seeing them on some buses here in Australia, some time back.

I have near perfect OEM front dog oval and a complete OEM rear target sign in near perfect condition for the Silverside.  I have also recreated the complete rear target sign out of plexiglass material (the original was glass).  These items are near priceless so I would not loan them to anyone, however if you would like I can email you very detailed pictures and dimensions.  Also, the Silverside rear center stop light lens is very, very hard to find (glass) and I have two of those.  Sorry guys, will not sell any of these, LOL.

I'm also looking for the fan hub from a 4104.  I want one near failure or failed but still in one piece.

GM badge would be nice for alot of the older units. I have one i could send but i have to get it off the top or the bus. Let me know if you need that one. I will try for a picture. i dont have a close up but will take a pic later. if you look in the center of the breastplate you can see it. We have one front and rear and the rear is extremely faded. How about the oval turn signal arrows? Those would be nice. Good for you remaking these.

Dave,
Take some detailed pictures and send them to me, please.  The turn signal lens also.  I'll see if we can use that.

John you can contact Ted Campbell at:  www.coachmaintenance.com (http://www.coachmaintenance.com)  Follow the email link.  He is almost impossible to contact by phone, but always responds to emails.  A treasure trove of vintage GM parts and knowledge.  Good luck.
