Title: Looking for a new bus... leads appreciated
Post by: demodriver on November 11, 2011, 08:54:49 PM
As some may know I sold my eagle.  I am looking for a new one thats already converted. Anyone have any leads on one?  I will travel to almost anywhere in the country to get a good deal one.  I would like to stay under $20k for one.  I am on ebay almost everyday so I see most of the ones on there. The deals that I am missing out on are the ones on craigslist and other sites like it.

Thanks

I know where a converted Eagle is though it's been sitting in the guys driveway for years. I have no idea of inside condition but he may sell. It sounds like you probably want one that's ready to go and updated though.

If this isn't a window on the economy I don't know what is. Barely more than a year ago you couldn't buy an old derelict for that kind of money. Back then $29K would have been a screaming hot deal for this, total no brainer. And its sad, you know the guy has a mint into the Bus, and the price seems a steal, but whats its going to be worth a month from now? I would be scared to offer more than $20K simply because of that steady downward trend. By spring it could be half that.

Thanks for all of the leads guys. And the link to the all of craigslist site.  The one Damn Yankee posted looks the best as of now and is decently close.

Try www.claz.org (http://www.claz.org). It will give you everything around the country if you don't put in a specific area. There are usually a lot of bus conversions availlable.

Good Luck,

Mike

Or you could buy my Prevost for $7 & finish it...
You know that no matter what you buy, you will be doing something to it... It's in a bus-nuts nature.

I too am looking for a bus but really want something with bunks and a shower.  I have talked with a few of the owners and have additional pictures from some of the ones listed by Eagle 19952.

My budget is about the same as yours but thus far, many of the sellers do not want to drop their price at all.  Hopefully I'll get a phone call one day..

I too like the one in Flint.  Might have to see how hard it would be to add bunks.

I appreciate all the leads guys but I need one that I can move into right away and start boon docking at my job site.

I am travelling from Northern IN. to the St. Louis area every week so one between those two points would be awesome.
