Awesome design and execution!
Hell it might as ell be a Bus for all the work he put into that thing. I love it (in a sick kind of way ) :o
Lots of fun and hard work in this.
Amazing what you can do with some passion, talent and funding!
happy coaching!

He's right about those White COE's. I've had an eye out for one for years and I haven't so much as seen one. They were all over up into the late 60's.
Very, very cool, and the idea of the powerboat-style flybridge is wild. Thanks for the link - I love this kind of stuff.

I could just envision cruising by one of those snooty couples with the top down on their Mercedes convertible thinking they had the world by the short hairs and pull up along side,at a light with this bus, as you are driving it from the flying bridge with several beauti......... aw hell, back to the old Silversides, I'd probably hate polishing all of that aluminum anyway.
Sure is trick though.

Maybe it's just me, but I dont like the overall look of it. I do think it is cool to be able to drive from upstairs or downstairs though! I see how he did the steering wheel and that doesnt seem like a huge challenge, but what about the foot pedals and brakes.....
Maybe he has a speaking tube down to the engine room, or one of those Full Ahead / Half Ahead / etc telegraphs that old steamships had in their bridges. Just imagine - "Scotty, we need more power." "Aye Aye sir, I'm giving it all it's got, but it's not enough." It could be the only road vehicle that needs a crew to drive it.
Let's not think what they do on the poop deck.
John
ok i love it . the shape is so cool looking . not sure about the up stairs driving . sunny californa maybe . but that deck to watch the races
or sports events way cool tailgating anyone john
One thing for sure about the upstairs driving is it saves the knees in a head on collision!

I love that he started with something near and dear to my heart. My Fathers 1973 GMC motor home. 455 cu in and fornt wheel drive. I helped my father maintain and up keep that thing for years. My first adventure in a class A motor home.

I dunno about the GM chassis but it's a piece of cake with an ordinary double-decker bus. After you've extended the steering shaft, you move the accelerator pedal (air "throttle"), 4 bolts and re-routing a 1/4" line; the brakes are purely moving the pedal and "master cylinder", the shift is by wire so that's a 20 minute job. Add defroster and wipers, plus a light switch and a driver's seat. Not that anybody has ever done a design study on it, of course. ;D
