For those patiently following: And donating your knowledge: interior 80% rough in and final finish applied to 50% of ceiling. 90% electrical. same with plumbing. Hvac in and working. Fire damaged suspension in rear finished by next week. Then will slide engine trans in.Simple sounding;this part scary to me because wireing harness is cut just above rear differential/wires are marked with # on them. Florida in Jan????? ??? ::) I don't Know! Judy and I Yes. Bob Maybe

Bob - do you have a wire stripper like this one?

It is worth it's weight in gold when you have to strip wires in cramped quarters like under dashboards or above differentials.
One handed operation - all you need to do is get the wire between the jaws and squeeze.
How are you planning to connect the wires together - crimp or solder?
Here's a link to some adhesive heat shrink that would be water tight if you solder - http://www.buyheatshrink.com/heatshrinktubing/3to1adhesive.htm (http://www.buyheatshrink.com/heatshrinktubing/3to1adhesive.htm)
Here's a link to some crimp terminals that would work too - http://www.ryderfleetproducts.com/ryder/af/ryder/core/content/product/srm/key/V84%2011961/pn/Butt-Connector-Shrink-22-18ga/erm/productDetail.do (http://www.ryderfleetproducts.com/ryder/af/ryder/core/content/product/srm/key/V84%2011961/pn/Butt-Connector-Shrink-22-18ga/erm/productDetail.do)
