anyone knows why a 8v92 has only a thermostat on right side? we have checked 2 motors both only have one only thanks jim
People remove the left side bank thinking it will help with cooling the oil and transmission fluid therefore better cooling for the engine a big myth it doesn't help install both like they were design to have
good luck
mine had 2 when I changed them. one on each side 89 model Bob
thanks clifford&bob both of these motors on the left side have a housing that does not accept a thermostat. it is fully open does not have the ring where the stat set on would have to change the housing to put the stat in thanks jim
Look down by the oil cooler the engines may have had the ALCC cooling for the turbo a picture would be worth a 1000 words, what are the engines from
good luck
So would only having a Tstat in right side, none in left, be why 8V71 warms up right side faster?
the motor looks like it has double oil coolers on the left side it is in a 88mci102c the other one was a 91 eagle15 I will try to get a picture, thanks jim
