Post by: robertglines1 on October 12, 2011, 06:14:47 PM
What is the tech name for them and where do you get them? Was thinking about one for the new project to locate TV above passanger  side front windshield and fold down when parked. Ideas? Electric?   Bob

You want a electric or manual the manuals are the pits Sanus makes good electric lifts from 300 bucks up you need to care Bob some of the LCD tv's you cannot tilt over 5 degrees found that out the hard way Sony told me to stick it try this outfit for manual lifts this where I got mine for the house www.mountsandmore.com (http://www.mountsandmore.com)

good luck

all our tv's are LCD so need to do more research.  Might just build in overhead cabinet and lower straight down for viewing. Again thanks for heads up will do more research on LCD angle mounting. Bob

If you're interested in getting creative, you might be able to use a LCD wall-mount arm, supplemented with a bracket to hold the LCD in place when in "retracted" position.

Bob this is JJR's site and he did it, shows pictures. He said he had many hours in making it but it is really nice. Check it out.

Sure would like to see a nice ceiling mount- flip up tv mount for sale. Anyone got an idea. Most are too bulky for bus conversions. Anybody got a good lead on a flip up that works?
