Title: '69 MC 7 Speedo
Post by: skihor on October 05, 2011, 08:45:48 PM
I have a non functional speedo. I don't know for sure if it's original equipment or not, I think it is. Anyway there is a clipped wire hanging from it but I don't see the other end. I'm unsure how it operates so don't know where to begin.

Thanks,

Don & Sheila

Hello:    Dont know which version you have but check the driver side wheel. There is a sensor mounted to read the bumps in the back of the  brake drum. It should be about an eighth inch from the drum. It has 2 wires going to the speedo. The other wires are power. if the sensor is adjusted too far from the wheel the speedo needle may go to max speed and stay there.   Your manual should give more info on the speedo hookup.
